Ranger
was born and raised in the Antonito, Colorado area. He was educated in
the Antonito schools and attended Adams State College in Alamosa, CO
where he graduated in 1973 with a BA in Education. He was
elected County Commissioner for Conejos County, Colorado in 1976 and
held this position until 1988. Ranger taught in the Antonito schools
from 1973 to 1980 at which time he became an office manager for an
independent agent. He maintained that position until 1986. In
August of 1986, he began a scratch agency with American Family and
developed that agency to 1200 policies before he was appointed District
Manager for District 303 in 1991. In July of 1997, Ranger was appointed Colorado Sales Director. In
October of 2000 Ranger became the Regional Vice President, Sales for
the Midland Region and moved to St. Joseph January 1, 2001. Then on January 1, 2007, Ranger returned to Colorado as the Agency Sales Vice President of the West Region. Ranger married Marjorie in 1973 and they have three daughters, three granddaughters and two grandsons.
