Monica Pleiman is not new to being a founder. With a passion for excellence and service, she founded Optimum Management Systems (OMS) in 1998. OMS is a consulting, technology and outsourcing firm with over 90 employees of very diverse backgrounds and contracts in seven states.
Received Many Awards
Monica is recognized as a business leader of excellence and has received many awards. She is very active in the Denver community. Monica is a Board member of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Denver Metro Chamber Foundation, and the Denver School of Science and Technology. She is also a past Board member of the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, an outstanding resource for the business community.
Monica earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business with an emphasis in computer information systems from Colorado State University .
Urgency to Help Hispanics
Monica became increasingly concerned about the pressing needs of her people and felt the urgency to do even more: “We've all seen the statistics and know that Hispanics are the fastest growing population group in the nation. We face many challenges and need all the support and encouragement we can get.”
Vision for Chamber
Monica had a vision of a centralized place where Hispanic people could find the information they need to succeed in life. In July of 2004, Monica shared her vision with Juanita Chacon, co-founder of the Chamber.
Latina Chamber is Founded
On August 5, 2004 “A Meeting of the Minds” of 15 prominent Latina businesswomen and communities leaders took place, a “Declaration to Serve” was signed, and The Latina Chamber was born.

Juanita Chacon is a leading Real Estate Broker in the Metro Denver area, with over 18 years of service. In the ‘90s Juanita was recognized as Hispanic Realtor of the Year.

Juanita is also an outstanding businesswoman and has received the Hispanic Businesswoman of the Year.
Helping Hispanics
Juanita is passionate about helping in the larger community, and in the Hispanic community in particular. As a realtor, she has focused on helping Hispanic professionals and entry level buyers realize their dream of homeownership. As co-founder of the Latina Chamber, Juanita will do even more to help her people.
Political Organizations
Juanita Chacon has been involved with over 25 political and nonprofit organizations in the last 15 years. Juanita was appointed by Colorado’s Governor Roy Romer to the State Housing Board and by Mayor Federico Pena in to the Denver Urban Renewal Authority. She has worked tirelessly to make a difference.
Helps Nonprofits
Helping children to receive a good education and correcting women’s issues are two of Juanita’s passions. The majority of her volunteer work is directed towards these areas.
